Wow! What a busy month August has been! Between family and friends’ communications, taking a closer look at what’s going on in the world, studying the transits within our solar system, and developing my new website, I feel like I’ve had a full agenda. And I expect to be busier the coming month. So, I’m sharing more insight than usual in preparation for the next few weeks ahead…just in case.
Looking at the upcoming ‘weather’ situation on both the U.S. employment market and the astrological planes, we should be experiencing many dramatic changes over the next couple of years. And the next few months should prove especially challenging, though no less interesting. Never one to be lightly discouraged, and always one to forge ahead with excitement and courage, despite adversities, I am seeing a rough ride ahead for all of us.
We have a long list of concerns here in the U.S.. Starting with “The Fed” and our economy threatening to crash, dangerously coming close to the “Depression Era” of the 1930’s, and immediately impacting unemployment rates that never had a chance to recover since 2008, which in turn has affected real estate markets, therefore pushing middle-class population into poverty and subsidizations. Then we have U.S. House and Senate elections…where Baby-Boomers make up the majority of voters right now in the U.S., and where we’re seeing statistics of even internal Senate seat holder Democrats vote for Republicans, and vise versa. Add the political Tea Party campaigns into the mix and their protests against the Economic Stabilization Act of 2008, and the ongoing debates around pulling our Military Troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out we’re in the midst of a government-social reform.
Looking at the U.S. Independence Day erected Natal Chart, the challenges mentioned above are most obviously triggered by the Cardinal T-Square until 2012. Also, shorter term transits begun this month in August have kicked off more public awareness and action, and promise to intensify over the next few months.
Beginning with Pluto, planet of powerful insight leading to powerful destruction of old structures and regeneration after disruption, he s-l-o-w-l-y transits the U.S.’s First House of self-image projections. With Pluto ruling mass media and conglomerates shedding entirely new lights and changing everything we perceived before, and the T-Square currently in process heightening this activity, “We The People” are the ones challenging our country’s Authority (Capricorn) and bringing to light the issues that threaten a ‘passing away’ of how we have til now perceived our country’s homeland security measures and our business status in the world. Through combined efforts, and by experiencing the pain together, we are already reforming our country into a new image to be projected unto others in the world with every enlightenment we receive, with every realization that “We The People” have more power than initially perceived.
The Uranus and Jupiter conjunction in our Nations Fourth House, the house representing matters of home life, the kind of home we lived in early in our lives, and that shows us what our later life will be like, is obviously disrupting our domestic comfort and independence through the almost spiritual realization where we’ve been too extravagant with our investments in the past instead of focusing on nurturing solid family atmospheres right here at home. With Aries in the Nation’s Fourth House, enforcing independent home-ownership is absolutely important, but the transiting Jupiter/Uranus conjunction squaring Pluto in the First House clearly shows how the majority of America’s families, the consumers and clients of the US Market, are threatened by ‘Authorities’ to have their homes ‘taken away’. It will be up to “We The People”, our American families, through nurturing help from our experienced Baby-Boomers, to find alternatives and other opportunities to the dilemma imposed upon by Pluto, even if it involves Aries’ independent, enterprising, and assertive measures. Maybe we’ll also see more families collaborating in larger homes to cohabitate, and not just blood-families, nor just rental situations, but different families merging into large, single family homes together to weather the changing real estate storm.
Saturn in Libra (completing the Cardinal T-Square) is placed in the U.S.’s Tenth House of Career and Social Standing (status). Saturn is another planet related to government, because of its association to responsibility, ethics, and seeing tasks through til completion for the greater good. Libra is related to legal affairs. The U.S. already has its Saturn in Libra, so America is about to experience another Saturn Return. It is another indicator that life in America is undergoing drastic change and entering another “rite of passage”. This time, it is a fate delivered by the Square from Pluto in Capricorn (Saturn’s home) it cannot escape and must be carried out through to completion un-ignored. The “right thing to do”, Saturn in Libra’s message, is to reform our American relationships with both internal and external relationships to regenerate our self-image as a country for our fiscal health, our employment health, and our consumer GDP health. Which sequence that needs to take is not yet politically clear to me…internal first, or external first…but it is my personal opinion that the best external relationships are built after the “self” has been re-esteemed. Relationship-building 101. The benefit of having a role-model is invaluable, though, and maybe the Libra solution is for the U.S. to find a social-economically fair and valuable role model during this time in crisis.
The Saturn – Jupiter/Uranus opposition has its own conflicts and advantages. Saturn focusing its power on career positions, public recognition, merit for responsibility and achievement will also bring sorrow and disappointment to relationships while in Libra, which we’re already seeing and will continue to see for a while in our unemployment ratings. But out of conflict, opportunity is born, which the Jupiter/Uranus conjunction out of the Fourth House promises. Competition is stronger than we’ve ever known it to be before…on every level. And all the obstacles in our path seem overwhelming. We want to expand our horizons, but are held back. Uranus brings out the restless rebellion stemming from the overwhelming frustration. And the intensity of this rebellion will be increased as the masses become more self-aware of what they really want to create. However, to create the radical changes, action has to be taken in each area of concern. It cannot be viewed as a whole, nor one person singled out for blame, it must be broken down into manageable pieces for the change to be effective.
All of these issues affect us in our everyday lives so much, that it is easy to either get riled and ramped up to join a protest, or to drop off into a state of self-selected illusion to avoid the overwhelm and experience some sort of internal ‘peace’. Some people are feverishly out there in person or on the internet making their contributions and making a difference. Others are more inclined to not make any ‘waves’ within their communities, go with the flow, even avoiding to research and validate reported media news in favor of blowing off taking such action as “it’s just information…what am I really going to do” and switching the TV channel to Jersey Shore, Real Housewives (ha!), the Twilight vampire series, or Biggest Loser. Do you know someone, even intimately, who is in this pattern of avoidance? So what can you do?
Just to consider the beginning couple weeks of September, look to where the Sun, Neptune, and Chiron are transiting your chart. The Sun is currently transiting in opposition to Neptune and Chiron, so the Sun in Virgo will shed some light on the house where Neptune conjunct Chiron in Pisces are showing you exactly which house within your chart where you are feeling dissatisfied during this Cardinal T-Square configuration. Neptune is the planet of illusion, of creative power, of where we are drawn to experience our most powerful visions of inspiration. Chiron is the “Wounded Healer”…the planet of where we’ll experience painful memories of the past, but through that experienced we gained, we are given the opportunity through his transit to help others, and to teach others how to do something better within the subject area of the house that Chiron travels.
Mercury is still retrograde in Virgo (seemingly going backwards), so your energy is still best used for organizing everything, reflecting on your future outcome and direction, and reconnecting with past acquaintances. Try to stay away from signing contracts and making significant decisions (this could very well be what Congress is doing right now). And definitely retreat at the sign of verbal conflict, especially if it involves schedules, appointments, or misinterpreted details.
But use the retrograde Mercury to your advantage and examine the transits of the Sun – Neptune/Chiron opposition in your chart, what houses they fall in, to see where you’ve felt dissatisfied, or even…where it’s time you feel you need to change direction and teach! See exactly how it relates to any of the issues our Nation is dealing with right now. Every little action to help others, even those in higher positions than you may be, is an action of team-work toward a global outcome. Even if the change you decide on is to improve your health through diet and exercise (a 6th House subject area), you are working to keep health care costs down, which in turn improves our economic status, gives to another in need, increases your employability, decreases your liability to your state, your employer, your family, and your self. You are PART OF this team called “We The People”. So taking care of you is imperative in this team-building process.
The Sun – Neptune/Chiron opposition can also show you the area you might be able to conjure a vision and a plan to support the outcome of Uranus/Jupiter conjunct. You may find new motivation to live up to an ideal now that you had forgotten about for a while. Get out the vision board and start creating the picture collage of what you want to create and teach in the world, and then think about all the areas you could get involved in to carry that mission out. It could be to help families transition after leaving foreclosed homes and providing nurturing support. It could be to set up groups through meetups.com and have Baby-Boomer speakers come in and teach their knowledge to the younger, middle-class generation. Or even set up a once-a-month potluck-dinner to discuss how to get through competitive interviews and the challenges unemployment brings with it.
Find the opportunity. Give. Help. Teach. A candle has lost none of its light when it lights another candle.
Namaste.

I’ve been browsing online more than 3 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me. In my view, if all webmasters and bloggers made good content as you did, the net will be a lot more useful than ever before.
